Taproom Assistant

About the Role
You’ll be part of the team helping to make the Neon Raptor Taproom a great place to drink, hang out and discover new beer.
You’ll be hands-on across the taproom — serving customers, pouring great beer, keeping the space looking its best and helping to make our events and busy weekends run smoothly. You’ll be one of the friendly faces of Neon Raptor, so being approachable, enthusiastic and passionate about giving people a great experience is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Pour and serve beer to a consistently high standard
- Learn about our beers and confidently talk customers through the range
- Take orders, handle payments and operate the till/EPOS system
- Keep the bar, taproom and customer areas clean, tidy and well presented
- Carry out opening, closing and daily cleaning duties
- Help with stock checks, deliveries and keeping the bar fully stocked
- Support taproom events including beer launches, tastings, private hires and other special events
- Help create a welcoming, fun and inclusive atmosphere for our customers
- Follow licensing, health & safety, hygiene and responsible service procedures
- Work closely with the wider taproom and brewery team to keep everything running smoothly
- Be willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed during busy periods
About You
- Friendly, outgoing and confident dealing with customers
- Passionate about great hospitality and creating a good experience for people
- Interested in beer and keen to learn more about different styles and how they're made
- Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Happy getting stuck into all aspects of taproom life, including cleaning and other less glamorous jobs!
- Previous experience in a bar, pub, restaurant, taproom or other hospitality role is desirable, but not essential
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends and during events
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn is more important to us than knowing everything about beer already
